WHAT Is Joint Mobilization?
Joint mobilization is the careful use of skilled graded forces to move a joint in a desired direction. Unlike stretching of a muscle joint mobilization is specific to the capsule of the joint itself. Gliding of the joint is usually used to improve motion and normalize joint function. Joint mobilization also has the added benefit of controlling pain. Any joint that is lacking sufficient motion may be mobilized. Joint mobilization on the neck, upper, middle and lower back, and sacroiliac joints, as well as to all of the joints of the extremities such as the shoulder, jaw, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle.

What Our Clients Say
I had physical therapy at this location about 5 years ago with great results. Today was my first of many visits for another problem. Jared DeVita, PT,DPT did my evaluation and I am very pleased with his professionalism, knowledge and patience. I am not just another number but a person with feelings and concerns. Thank you to the entire staff. I must say that I have frequented other physical therapy facilities and the Murrells Inlet Low County PT facility is top notch in my book. I have been going for various issues since 2020 and yesterday I went again for knee issues. Everyone is so friendly when you come in, even remembering you after a 3 year absence. Jared, my PT person was very professional and took the time to ask many questions about my issue and took plenty of time to explain each exercise that I was to do. I felt very confident after I left after that 1st visit yesterday that I was going to have a positive healing experience with him. Low Country is #1 in my book and won’t be going anywhere else for PT.
